DAT Quartet is a jazz ensemble dedicated to exploring and blending diverse musical cultures. Led by Taiwanese vibraphonist Debby Wang, three Japanese Hiroki Kitazawa (drums), YutaOmino (bass), and Yoko Suzuki (piano), forming a quartet brimming with creativity and experimental spirit. Their music is rich with elements of funk, jazz, hip-hop, African American music, and experimental sounds, while also incorporating Taiwanese elements. Each note explores and seeks the connection between self and the world, showcasing intense emotions and dynamic energy. The works reflect Debby Wang's profound understanding and pursuit of cultural innovation and preservation. She intertwines the most sincere traditional Taiwanese sounds with global rhythms, finding a harmonious blend of cultures.
